No recent conversion data to process

Google Ads says No recent conversion data to process when no conversions have been recorded in the last seven days. Check that campaigns are running, that ads lead to a page with the tag, and that your own lead records show no leads for the same days. Only then look at the send, since a quiet week and a broken send look the same here.

At a glance

Where it shows
The status message at the top of the enhanced conversions diagnostics report, under Goals, Summary, then the conversion action and Diagnostics.
What stops
No ad stops. Bidding on this conversion has no fresh results to learn from.
How serious
No policy risk. The cost is bidding and budget decisions made on a count that has stopped.
How long
Google looks at the past seven days, so the status can read stale for up to a week after a fix.

What it means

The status means nothing was recorded in seven days. Google's own check is the campaign, the ad pages and the tag. It cannot see whether the lead happened and the tag missed it, so the reader has to check the business's own records.

The status is different from Waiting to receive enhanced conversion data, which means the setting is on and nothing has been received yet. This one is about recorded conversions: none in the last 7 days.

What actually triggers it

  1. Campaigns paused or ads not running

Google's page says to confirm campaigns are active. A quiet week in a paused campaign is the correct reading, so check that first.

  2. Ads that land on a page without the tag

Google's page says to confirm ads lead to a page with a conversion action tag. A redirect, a new page path or a new domain can send paid clicks past the tag.

  3. A third-party booking form that never sends the event

    Not on Google's help page

In one real account, GA4 recorded far fewer lead events than the website form submissions that arrived, and most of the gap was a third-party booking form that never fires the lead event. A conversion tag hung on the same event misses the same leads.

  4. An import that stopped sending

    Not on Google's help page

A call tracker or a CRM feeding an upload action can stop without an error while the website tag looks fine. The status is the only sign.

Fix it in this order

  1. Confirm the campaigns for this conversion were running and spending in the past seven days. If they were not, stop here.
  2. Open an ad's final URL in a private window and go through to the page where the conversion counts. Complete the form or the call.
  3. Count your own leads for the same seven days: form emails, booked calls, the call tracker's log. If there were leads and the action shows none, the send or the tag failed.
  4. Do not wait for an alert to explain it. Google hides the alerts when fewer than 20 conversions arrived in 7 days, so an action at zero shows an empty alert list.
  5. Fix the page, the form or the import the test showed broken, then make one more real conversion and check it arrives.

The status changes after the next recorded conversion. Until then the seven-day window still holds the old silence, so read the newest dates, not the status alone.

Often confused with

  • Awaiting conversions

The conversion action's own tracking status in the conversions table for no conversions in 7 days. The checks are the same, and the test is a real conversion through Tag Assistant.

  • Waiting to receive enhanced conversion data

The setting is on and no enhanced conversion data has been received yet. Here the problem is that no conversions were recorded at all.

  • Check enhanced conversions

The tracking status in the conversions table that links to this report. It names no cause; the status message at the top of the report does.
