No attempted imports

Google Ads says No attempted imports when the tag works on a lead form but no lead conversion has been uploaded. Find the system that sends leads back, such as a CRM, a spreadsheet or a call tracker. Check its last upload date and its sign-in. Since June 15, 2026, Google blocks these uploads in the Google Ads API and takes them through the Data Manager API.

At a glance

Where it shows
The lead conversion's status in the diagnostics under Goals, Summary, with the import work done outside Google Ads.
What stops
No ad stops. The lead form still records its own conversion, but the offline lead conversion never reaches the account.
How serious
No policy risk. The cost is bidding on the form conversion alone, with the qualified and won stages missing.
How long
Diagnostics read the past day of data, or the past seven days when there is less.

What it means

The status says the form's tag is working but nothing has been sent as an import. That is a different problem from a tag that fails to fire. The site is fine; the path from the lead to Google is missing or idle.

Google's page points back to the import itself and says to resolve any upload errors. The reader needs the sender's history before the diagnostics can show anything new.

What actually triggers it

  1. No import set up after the tag

The tag and the import are two separate pieces. Google's page asks the reader to confirm conversions are being imported correctly, which only applies if something imports them.

  2. An import still on the older path

Google's page says offline conversion imports and enhanced conversions for leads uploads moved to the Data Manager API and are blocked in the Google Ads API from June 15, 2026, and that developer tokens with no requests between January and June 2026 are not allowlisted for legacy access. An integration that was never updated stops delivering anything.

  3. An upload with errors that nobody reads

The upload runs, but every row is refused. Google's page says to resolve upload errors, and an import with no one watching the errors looks like one that never ran.

  4. A sender whose sign-in lapsed

    Not on Google's help page

A CRM, spreadsheet or call tracker that feeds the import can lose its sign-in and stop sending while the website tag looks fine.

Fix it in this order

  1. Open Goals > Summary, hover over the status, and select Diagnostics to confirm the message.
  2. Find the system that sends lead conversions back to Google: the CRM, the spreadsheet or the call tracker. Write down its last upload date.
  3. Check the sender's sign-in and its connection to the Google Ads account it uploads to.
  4. Ask whoever maintains the integration whether it sends through the Data Manager API. Google blocks lead uploads in the Google Ads API from June 15, 2026.
  5. Open the offline data diagnostics page, and the Uploads page for file imports, and clear the upload errors listed there. Then read the diagnostics again after a day.

The status changes once the first lead upload is attempted. An upload that is accepted still needs its totals read in the conversion action, since accepted and recorded are not the same.

Often confused with

  • Tag is missing user-provided data

The form sends no data. Here the form works and the upload is missing.

  • No user-provided data matches

Uploads are being sent and none match the form. Here nothing has been sent.

  • Conversions not processed

Uploads are accepted but missing from reports. Here no upload has been attempted at all.
