ReferenceGoogle Ads disapproval
Complex speculative financial products
Google allows ads for CFDs, financial spread betting and rolling spot forex only in listed locations, and only for licensed providers that Google has certified. In the United States, only rolling spot forex is allowed, for providers licensed by the National Futures Association. Destinations with trading signals, tips or broker reviews are disapproved. Apply for certification under Policy in the Admin menu.

- Low on its own. Google issues a warning at least 7 days before any account suspension.
What it means
The policy allows certain complex speculative financial products only in limited cases. The products are contracts for difference, financial spread betting, rolling spot forex and related speculative products.
The advertiser must be a licensed provider or aggregator, the products and ads must comply with local law and industry standards, the location must be eligible, and the account must be certified by Google. Local requirements such as leverage caps and risk warnings also apply.
What actually triggers it
Signals, tips or broker reviews on the destination
Destinations that give trading signals, tips or speculative trading information are disapproved. So are affiliate sites with related content or broker reviews.
A location that is not on the list
Products may not be advertised in locations that are not on the page's list, and the limits vary by country.
A provider without the local license
Each place names its own license: a national authority in the European Economic Area, the Financial Conduct Authority in the United Kingdom, the Australian Securities and Investments Commission in Australia, and the National Futures Association for rolling spot forex in the United States.
A product other than rolling spot forex in the United States
In the United States only rolling spot forex is allowed. Contracts for difference and spread betting are not on that list.
Fix it in this order
- In Google Ads, select Policy within the Admin menu, select Account, then select Apply for certification.
- Confirm that the license for each targeted location matches the rule the page lists for that place.
- Remove any location where the provider is not licensed, or where the product is not on the list for that place.
- Go to Ads under the Campaigns menu, hover over the ad, select Edit, make the change and select Save. Re-review typically takes 24 to 48 hours.
- If the destination gives signals, tips or broker reviews, remove that content or remove the ad.
Applications for certification now go through the Google Ads account rather than the Help Center, from June 2026 onward.
When to appeal
Appeal the policy decision from the account if you believe it was an error. If the provider is not certified, certification is the step the page names.
