ReferenceBusiness Profile suspension
Disabled profile
A disabled Business Profile is one Google has turned off, such as when it decides the business does not exist at the claimed location. Content and appeals sent while it is disabled are rejected, so the profile must be reinstated first. Check the address, the business name and whether the business operates there. Fix the profile before posting or appealing anything new.

What it means
A disabled profile cannot take new content until it is reinstated. Google's page says disabled profiles must be reinstated first before content can be successfully contributed, and content or appeals sent while the profile is disabled are rejected before review.
Google decides that a business does not exist at the claimed location using user reports and licensed content. The page gives no separate appeal route for that case, so the evidence of where the business really operates is what matters.
What actually triggers it
The business is not found at the claimed address
Google judges whether the business exists at the location it claims. A business that moved and left the old address on the profile fits this pattern.
Reports from people who cannot find the business
User reports feed the decision. A profile that visitors report as not matching a real place at the address shown is exposed to this check.
Fix it in this order
- Open the profile's status in the appeals tool and read the reason it gives.
- Confirm that the business operates at the address on the profile, and that the address is one Google accepts. Check the address guidance first.
- If the business moved, update the existing profile's address instead of creating a new profile.
- Gather the evidence the reinstatement asks for: a registration, a license, or tax or utility documents in the business's name and at the address.
- Submit the reinstatement request, and post no new content until the profile is reinstated.
Once the profile is reinstated, it can take content again. If a reinstatement request is denied, an additional review can take new evidence.
When to appeal
Send the reinstatement request after the address is right, not before. Content and appeals sent while the profile is disabled are rejected, so an early request with the old address uses up effort without changing the outcome.
Often confused with
A suspension is a decision about the profile's content or eligibility, and it is appealed once with matching evidence. A disable turns the profile off and rejects anything sent until it is reinstated. Read the status first, because it decides which route applies.
