Character counter
For anything with a hard limit: ad headlines, meta descriptions, bios and text messages. Set your own limit and see what is over.
For the checks that come up while writing ad copy, posts, page titles and emails: how long it is, what changed between two drafts, and whether the capitalization is the one you meant.
For anything with a hard limit: ad headlines, meta descriptions, bios and text messages. Set your own limit and see what is over.
For longer writing: word count, the words you repeat most and how long it takes to read.
To see exactly what changed between two versions of a page, a contract or a piece of copy.
To switch a block of text to title case, sentence case or capitals without retyping it.
For styled letters in a bio or a post, copied as text rather than an image.
An emoji or an accented letter can count as one character on one platform and two on another. The character counter shows each way of counting, so a line that looks short is not cut off when it is published.
Fancy text is made of separate Unicode symbols. Screen readers can read them out letter by letter or skip them, and search does not treat them as the plain word, so keep them out of your name and anything people search for.
